POLISH CHAMPIONSHIPS OF THE POLISH CONTACT KARATE ASSOCIATION

Photo Radosław Dyduch On April 25, 2026, at the STEGU ARENA Hall in Opole, the Polish Championships of the Polish Contact Karate Association took place, bringing together nearly 600 female and male competitors from more than 80 Kyokushin and Oyama Karate clubs participating. The Championships were held under the patronage of the Oyama Polish Karate Federation and the Polish Kyokushin Karate Federation. The main organizer was the Opole Kyokushin Karate Club, headed by Shihan Mariusz Godoś, 6th Dan, with the Polish Contact Karate Association as co-organizer, represented by Shihan Krzysztof Borowiec, 7th Dan. Guests attending the Championships included: Saiko Shihan Andrzej Pierzchała, 8th Dan (OYAMA IKF), Shihan Eugeniusz Stanisławek, 7th Dan (Tezuka Group), Shihan Witold Choiński, 7th Dan (OYAMA PKF), Shihan Piotr Sawicki, 6th Dan (IKO Nakamura), Shihan Artur Wilento, 6th Dan (PFKK), Shihan Zbigniew Goliński, 5th Dan (IKO Nakamura), Shihan Jan Wać, 5th Dan (IFK Kyokushin) and Shihan Agnieszka Winek (WKB Kyokushin). Photo Radosław Dyduch On behalf of the patrons, the tournament was officially opened by Hanshi Jan Dyduch, 9th Dan, the President of the Oyama Polish Karate Federation, who presented Shihan Mariusz Godoś with a congratulatory letter in recognition of his organization of the Championships. The Chief Referee of the event was Shihan Artur Wilento, 6th Dan (PFKK), while the technical referees were Shihan Paweł Pajdak, 7th Dan (OYAMA PKF), and Shihan Grzegorz Sosnowski, 5th Dan (PZKK), who coordinated the referee teams across five mats in the Kata (Kyokushin) and Kumite divisions.
