3RD IKO NAKAMURA EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Photo Radosław Dyduch On June 13-14, 2026, the 3rd IKO Nakamura European Championships took place at the University Sports Hall in Białystok, Poland, with the participation of 459 full-contact karate competitors from 94 clubs from Poland and abroad. Representatives of 21 clubs affiliated with the OYAMA Polish Karate Federation performed exceptionally well, securing 46 podium finishes in Kumite, including: 12 first places, 16 second places and 18 third places. CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU, OSU!. On the first day of the Championships, our Organization was represented by Hanshi Jan Dyduch, 9th Dan, and on the second day by Shihan Witold Choiński, 7th Dan (Białystok). The event was organized by Sport Club Karate Sawicki Team in Białystok and IKO Nakamura Poland, led by Shihan Piotr Sawicki, 6th Dan. The Chief Referee was Shihan Zbigniew Goliński, 6th Dan (Limanowa IKON), while the Technical Referee was Shihan Artur Wilento, 6th Dan (Toruń PFKK). On both days, the Championships featured Kyokushin Kata competitions in the morning and Kumite competitions in the afternoon, conducted according to the international IKO Nakamura rules.
