Polish Cup OYAMA TOP in knockdown as well as Junior and Senior Polish Cup OYAMA Polish Karate Federation in Semi-knockdown took place in Jelenia Góra. About 200 female and male fighters, representing 31 Oyama karate clubs and 3 Kyokushin-Tezuka Group clubs, took part in the competition. The competition was at very good both sports and organizational level.

Representatives of OYAMA Polish Karate Federation acquitted themselves very well during Kanrekai World Karate Championship in Danbury Connecticut, USA. Dawid Kiszycki in the impressive style, won a gold medal in a heavy weight category, defeating in the final fight Kamil Maras (USA, Kyokushin IFK). Tomasz Krysiak after a fierce won a silver medal in the middle weight category.

The 2nd Oyama Karate Championships of Brandenburg took place in Cottbus, October 17th 2009. The tournament gathered over 80 competitors from Germany and Poland. Besides the competitors from Oyama style we had competitors from Kyokushinkai from Berlin. Doitsu-Budo Kwai e. V Club form Cottbus was the organizer of the tournament, represented by Sensei Christie Herold and Sensei Carsten Augsten. Country representative OYAMA IKF in Germany - Sensei Andrzej Tomiałowicz was also present at the tournament.

Sensei Iweta Czech 1st dan, a titled and many years' representant of Poland, a contestant and an instructor of Jeleniogórski Klub OYAMA, opened karate club in Kilkenny, Ireland. She has been nominated, by Shihan Jan Dyduch, the OYAMA IKF Branch Chief in Ireland.

OYAMA IKF European Cup was held from May 16 to 17 in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The tournament was divided into the following categories: Kata, Semi-knockdown and Knockdown. About 340 competitors participated in the tournament, among them foreign guests, the representatives of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Canada, Germany, USA, Japan, Estonia, France and Belgium . The host of this prestigious event was Bydgoski Klub Oyama Karate PAŁAC.

Lubski Karate Sports Club OYAMA organized "Polish - German Weekend with Oyama Karate" for both children and parents. Polish-German Karate Championships in Kata and Kobudo were organized within the frameworks of the event. Competitiors were the representatives of: Shotokan and Oyama, Cottbus (Germany) as well as participants from six Polish centers of OYAMA karate. Board of referees, led by Sensei Christin Herold from Germany, deftly fulfilled their duties. Day after, a bivouac was organized for the parents of karate fighters from Poland and Germany i.a. adults had a chance to compete in different funny games.

Representatives of OYAMA Polish Karate Federation took part in an international competition YUKAN Ultimate Karate Championships in Montreal. The fighters won 4 medals: 1 gold and 3 silver. The best one of Poles was Łukasz Światowski who won his gold medal in a very good style. Silver medals were won by: Anna Kołodziej-Plewka, Damian Krupka and Dawid Kiszycki. The championships were organized by Sensei Denis Cordeiro 4th dan, the lider of the Canadian Kanreikai Karate organization

The final of the 8th Krakow Oyama Karate Olympiad for Children and the Youth took place in the Main Dojo in Krakow-Poland . The tournament was organized by Krakowski Club OYAMA with its leader Shihan Jan Dyduch 7th dan. Over 850 children and the youth took part in the competition.

The 15th Polish OYAMA Karate Kata Champion- ships took place in Wrocław. 240 participants from 31 clubs took part in the tournament. The championships were organized by: Wrocławski Klub Karate Oyama DRAGON with its leader Sensei Sebastian Mielcarek 2nd dan. Sensei Paweł Pajdak 4th dan (Sosnowiec) was the main referee of the competition. The President of OYAMA Polish Karate Federation, Shihan Jan Dyduch 7th dan, handed impressive cups and medals.

In the 19th European Kyokushin IBK Championships in the Hague, the Polish representatives of Oyama Karate: Marta Szostak, Warszawa-Tygrys and Łukasz Łuczyński, Kozienice, won two gold medals and defended their titles of the European Champions!

Annual Junior and Senior Polish Cup of OYAMA PFK in Semi-knockdown took place in Jelenia Góra. The competion was under the patronage of Mr Marek Obrębalski- the President of the City of Jelenia Góra. About 180 female and male fighters took part in the competition. They represented 31 Oyama karate clubs and one Kyokushin-Tezuka Group club.

Three all-Poland summer exam sessions took place in Honbu Dojo, Krakow. Participants attended higher kyu degrees exams, there was also suplementary black belt exam. Almost 200 karate students, from 40 Oyama karate clubs, participated in the exam.

St.Petersburg hosted the Russian Open Karate Championships "OYAMA CUP". Participants competed in 17 categories. The best fighters took part in the tournament. They were the representatives of knockdown karate clubs from Moscow, the Moscow area, St.Petersburg, Leningrad region, Novgorod, the Novgorod area, Ivanovo, as well as Ukraine and Estonia.
